IPL 2025 Auction
Rule before the IPL 2025 auction:
The BCCI stated that an IPL franchise could retain a maximum of six players from their last season’s squad. If a franchise decides not to retain less than six then it would get an opportunity to use the Right to Match (RTM) option on their players in auction.
The IPL 2025 auction stood out from previous years, featuring surprising player retentions and the release of marquee names, sparking intense bidding wars between franchises for top players. This added an unexpected twist, leaving fans in awe and ramping up the excitement for the upcoming season.
Registration deadline: Registration officially closed on 4th November 2024,
Total players who registered for the IPL 2025 auction: 1574 (1165 Indians, 409 Overseas),
IPL 2025 auction dates: November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
